Chris Pratt Weight Loss – How He Lost 60 lbs with Crossfit
From waiting tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory to starring in the highest grossing films of recent years, Chris Pratt not only transformed his career, but his physique as well.. The 37 year old actor recently did an interview with Men's Fitness magazine where he detailed what it took to sculpt a body of granite. Check out Chris Pratt Crossfit Exercises and how he lost 60 lbs.
Chris Pratt Weight Loss
The Minnesota born actor stands at an impressive 6 foot 2 inches and a solid 210 lbs. People with an Endomorph body type find it easy to back on the muscle, but just as easy (if not easier) to put on body fat. Throughout his life Chris' weight fluctuated. In the early years it was due to poor lifestyle choices, but as his career took off he often found himself needing to lose or gain weight based on roles he was offered.
Chris Pratt Crossfit Exercise
He credits a workout focusing on HIIT (high intensity interval training) for helping him to strip off the pounds. These Crossfit style workouts typically have you moving from one exercise to another with little rest in between. This maintains a higher heart rate and keeps your body in the "fat burning" zone for longer periods of time. The Crossfit Knees to Elbows is just one example of a common HIIT exercise.
In addition to Crossfit move, Chris attributes his weight loss to bodyweight exercises like pull ups and push ups, and of course good ole fashioned weight lifting.
The single most important factor attributed to Chris Pratt weight loss is of course diet. He gave up drinking alcohol for 6 months and focused on a Paleo – ish diet of low carbs and high protein. As any Personal Trainer or exercise and fitness enthusiast will tell you, a rock hard body starts in the kitchen before the gym!
